Suggestion
I got a 3-year alignment package at NTB (they have some sweet new alignment machines that are completely level on the ground now), so if I change the height, I can get a free alignment.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Redridge is correct. that is no wrap on the car. Finished in Matt black and matt silver touches
simply sick!!
good thing he is the owner of the body shop...becuase when he is tired of the color he can change it pretty easy

I thought let air get into engine room or rear brake to get cold, but I didn't do because I had to make a hole which might make the body weaker.

Quarter panels is turbo's. So vents on widebody.

i want to do this mod to my car!

Your rear brakes will NEVER get hot enough to need cooling, and if you try and get air to your motor you will most likely end up with a TON of dirt in the engine area, and not much gain in HP
I am not feeling the front bumper of the hood, but nice work on your car to make it unique and personalized to you!!
i thought i would share some of the latest detailing upgrades i had done, the work was carried out by detailing dynamics of mineola n.y.my thanks go out to matt and eddie, these guys really no their stuff !.here are some of the mods.a rennline extingusher mount , along with a rennline stainless steel indicator light cover, bumperplugs did the center console in matching midnight blue, aluminum pedals are from suncoast, a silver porsche crest badge on the front hood, silver carrera script on the rear along with chrome lug caps.plus and of course 3m film protection for the front bumper, hood and lights.and just completed the rotor hats and wheels along with window tint ,and of course a full blown detail of the paintwork,if your looking for a shop on long island, and your completely nuts like me,these guys are the way to go.
Here are the pics. The rotor hats and wheels were done as follows:
-rotor hats,prepped,sanded,primped and painted
- wheel weights removed
- prepped, sanded and taped
- primed
- painted with epoxy paint
this wheel upgrade has to be seen!very suttle, but absolutely awesome!
The tint was done with carbon tint. 50% on the sides and 35% on the rear.
The headlights were wet sanded and polished. Then protected with 3M film.

this is what it looks like after wheel change. I was not able to fit 305s without rubbing...if anyone knows how to remedy that I'm all ears. the ones on it now are 275s. Thanks
@Plexiform: what is the size of your 997 Turbo wheels and the offset of those?
i will put on the same wheels with the original Porsche Turbo 997 size on my 996 NB.
Greetings from Hamburg-city
Z
I ran 305/25/19.... its all in the offsets. 997 NB 19' wheels will fit fine with 305/25.
The offset you want is 63-67mm... these will work perfectly. If you cant confirm the offsets.... dont buy the wheels w/o a return policy...

forget all that stuff, I'd like to know more about the cello... my license plate used to be "htviola" and no one except chamber music players could figure it out.
the steering wheel looks like the stock wheel from a 2003 996 C4S. what's the lower item in the dash?
cheers to all.....
Wow, haven't seen the Strosek for newer model 911's. Not sure how i feel about it. Maybe the car just needs to be dropped. It would probably make a huge difference.
Fly, your car looks great! I have a couple questions. Do you get grief from LEO's about your tail lights? And your exhaust tips seem to be point downward slightly, is that on purpose?
Fly - car is still looking great. Did you raise it up a tad higher? I thought it was a little more slammed for some reason.

No problems (yet) re: tail lights...
I need to adjust the tips but have put it off because I'll be replacing these soon with Fabspeeds...

Thanks John
I am not really sure where I am going with this car, but I just swapped out the a Taco wing for the GT3 RS wing (good quality one from MASHAW).
There will be a lot of haters because I have a C4s bumper, MKI side Skirts, GT3 RS wing, and replica wheels.
The wing is radical. I prefer the insert wing to the full trunk lid for a few reasons: 1) retains more of the original sheet metal, and 2) retains the grill at the back that I like of the stock cars while still giving me a wing, and 3) it's not like a bi-plane wing.
I have 14mm spacers on the way for the rear since I recently lowered it about 1" with PSS9 (about the only thing about the car that most will approve).
I plan on adding a glossy black "PORSCHE" strip down the sides and perhaps continue the stripe into the rear and front like the original GT3 RS. I am even tempted to add a center stripe of 12" in width.
Flame away.
PorschePRH: Your car looks good. I like the look of the C4S bumper in the rear! Haven't seen that one done before. Personally, I don't mind mixing and matching different sections from different aero kits. In the end it's your ride and if you like it, that's all that matters!
However i do think the car could go a little lower!
Don't be so hard on yourself. Tastefully done and to each his own. I was much more pure in my tastes when I bought mine in 2000. Now I say it's time to have fun regardless of what the peanut gallery has to say about it. Don't stop...

Thanks for the great compliments!
Well, the rear bumper is the stock 2003 C2 rear bumper. No changes have been made to that part. The front bumper is a C4s unit that I bought from a board member already painted in my color (that was lucky). The rear decklid is the original C2 decklid with the retractable wing removed and a fiberglass "insert" wing base screwed in. The wing itself is a replica GT3 RS wing in clear coated carbon fiber that will hook into any normal GT3 wing base as well.
In terms of ride height, I do like that the PSS9 lets me (relatively) easily change the height. I bounced up and down before settling on this ride height. It allows me to go over speed bumps and up and down driveways without too much, if any rubbing.
I got a 3-year alignment package at NTB (they have some sweet new alignment machines that are completely level on the ground now), so if I change the height, I can get a free alignment. That cost $150, and should be worth it over the next few years.

Thanks!
Yea, it's a Porsche, but it's still a car. I have a daily driver (loaded 300C), so I figure I could have some fun with this car. When it's not appropriate to bring a boy racer to the party, the 300 does the job just fine.
Everything I have done over the years to the Porsche can literally be undone in 1 day and sold, so it's not the end of the world.

Thanks Red...right, we should a run coming up soon...
Is that the Techart front spoiler lip on the yellow 996 posted by Barebones?
(I'm torn between that front spoiler lip and a GT Porsche-OEM front bumper cover.)
I have a new in the box never installed turbo rear bumper you can have for $600.00 - you pay for the shipping. Here are a couple of pics of it installed on my car.
