@Plexiform: what is the size of your 997 Turbo wheels and the offset of those? i will put on the same wheels with the original Porsche Turbo 997 size on my 996 NB. Greetings from Hamburg-city Z

POST 7Original post

Quotes source post: 2312086

I ran 305/25/19.... its all in the offsets. 997 NB 19' wheels will fit fine with 305/25. The offset you want is 63-67mm... these will work perfectly. If you cant confirm the offsets.... dont buy the wheels w/o a return policy... Quote:

POST 28Original post

I am not really sure where I am going with this car, but I just swapped out the a Taco wing for the GT3 RS wing (good quality one from MASHAW). There will be a lot of haters because I have a C4s bumper, MKI side Skirts, GT3 RS wing, and replica wheels. The wing is radical. I prefer the insert wing to the full trunk lid for a few reasons: 1) retains more of the original sheet metal, and 2) retains the grill at the back that I like of the stock cars while still giving me a wing, and 3) it's not like a bi-plane wing. I have 14mm spacers on the way for the rear since I recently lowered it about 1" with PSS9 (about the only thing about the car that most will approve). I plan on adding a glossy black "PORSCHE" strip down the sides and perhaps continue the stripe into the rear and front like the original GT3 RS. I am even tempted to add a center stripe of 12" in width. Flame away.

POST 29Original post

Looks great Rich... see you on the NYC midnight run... hopefully sooner though. PorschePRH... that p-car looks like it belongs on the track!

POST 30Original post

PorschePRH: Your car looks good. I like the look of the C4S bumper in the rear! Haven't seen that one done before. Personally, I don't mind mixing and matching different sections from different aero kits. In the end it's your ride and if you like it, that's all that matters! However i do think the car could go a little lower!

POST 31Original post

Don't be so hard on yourself. Tastefully done and to each his own. I was much more pure in my tastes when I bought mine in 2000. Now I say it's time to have fun regardless of what the peanut gallery has to say about it. Don't stop...

POST 32Original post

Quotes source post: 2327718

Quote: Hey, thanks! That's definitely the look I am going for.

POST 33Original post

Quotes source post: 2327737

Quote: Thanks for the great compliments! Well, the rear bumper is the stock 2003 C2 rear bumper. No changes have been made to that part. The front bumper is a C4s unit that I bought from a board member already painted in my color (that was lucky). The rear decklid is the original C2 decklid with the retractable wing removed and a fiberglass "insert" wing base screwed in. The wing itself is a replica GT3 RS wing in clear coated carbon fiber that will hook into any normal GT3 wing base as well. In terms of ride height, I do like that the PSS9 lets me (relatively) easily change the height. I bounced up and down before settling on this ride height. It allows me to go over speed bumps and up and down driveways without too much, if any rubbing. I got a 3-year alignment package at NTB (they have some sweet new alignment machines that are completely level on the ground now), so if I change the height, I can get a free alignment. That cost $150, and should be worth it over the next few years.

POST 34Original post

Quotes source post: 2327801

Quote: Thanks! Yea, it's a Porsche, but it's still a car. I have a daily driver (loaded 300C), so I figure I could have some fun with this car. When it's not appropriate to bring a boy racer to the party, the 300 does the job just fine. Everything I have done over the years to the Porsche can literally be undone in 1 day and sold, so it's not the end of the world.

I was at a friend's house in Greenwich a month ago, and was marveling at the size of his estate - And just when I was getting used to the ridiculousness, one of their friends pulled in driving a $10M Ferrari 250GT California Spyder. I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing: Luckily, I had brought my photo gear with me, and the owner was cool enough to let me shoot it. As far as my pics above go, they were taken at one of my family homes in South Carolina. My mother has lived on Hilton Head Island for the past 18 years, and my father's house in the pics is at one of the golf communities off-island. We stopped here on our way back from Florida, as it breaks the drive up nicely.

Sorry for the delayed response, I spent the day in the car, driving from the SC house to a friend's spot in Raleigh NC. An enjoyable, uneventful top-down drive in 90+ degree weather. It's been a hell of a trip down south, and thanks to the Cabriolet my tan is now of George Hamilton proportions. Since it was so well received, here a few more of the California.
