Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

had his indy pull the front diff on my "new" 2003 C4S, 2 years ago (because it had a leak that 2 shops couldn't fix, even after changing the seals) the only parts they used were:

Leading evidence: 'Use were' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace seals) the only parts they' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Can't use anything other than an OE CV joint on the 4S/Turbo fronts.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I'm sure there numerous technical threads on how to do that. Basic is: pull front diff and half shafts, drive shaft to front with disc and whatever else the technical instructions say...
Why would you want to do that? Keep in mind that you won't have a C2 after you remove the front drive system. You would still have the "S" suspension which, I believe, was from the turbo version of the 996 and of course the wide body.
Constant Velocity joint. The end of the half-shaft from the front differential.
While this mod is relatively straightforward. I haven't done it myself, but I have been all over the underside of my C4S, and I would be pretty comfortable doing it.
But I have concerns if you are starting from not knowing what a CV is. Hopefully this is just a language issue.
As others have said, there are detailed threads on here of people doing the 2 wheel drive conversion. Keep searching.
C2 upright might work, would need the C2 spring/strut and C2 sway bar and C2 drop links. Also the C2 front brake calipers because the C4S/Turbo/GT front calipers have larger bolt spacing.
The P.O. had his indy pull the front diff on my "new" 2003 C4S, 2 years ago (because it had a leak that 2 shops couldn't fix, even after changing the seals) the only parts they used were:
996TT stub axle set (1)
Axle nut (2)
and "vibration-dampening sandwich mount with studs, neoprene, M6x1mm thread, 31lbs capacity, 5/8" high" (PN 9225K52) 10 at $4.13 ea
and 5hrs of labor (total $2100 in 2022).
I hope that helps you.
