This is not a probability of success.

Im the only driver of my car and always use the same key, but everything was jacked up in my car the first time I used the second key.

Suggestion

I can't say it's related, but over this time period I noticed that the settings reset themselves when I drove the car (i.e, Comfort Entry and Open all Doors disabled (my wife's irritation with this is what brought the problem to light), the air conditioning vent settings, etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Greetings all. Big Max (as my wife calls him) spent a lot of the winter hooked up to a battery tender for obvious reasons. I can't say it's related, but over this time period I noticed that the settings reset themselves when I drove the car (i.e, Comfort Entry and Open all Doors disabled (my wife's irritation with this is what brought the problem to light), the air conditioning vent settings, etc. I thought this happened when I plugged the tender in, but I later learned that it's locking the doors that does it, which unfortunately tends to be a frequent occurrence. The dealer reset or rebooted the system but to no avail. Anyone else have this issue or words of advice? Thanks in advance-

POST 2Original post

Are you and your wife using two different keys? The personal settings can be stored in the memory buttons or to a specific key, and what you describe sounds like what happens when you switch keys if so. Im the only driver of my car and always use the same key, but everything was jacked up in my car the first time I used the second key.

POST 3Original post

No, only one key, but she may have hers in her purse. Think it's just mine the car is reading though. Thanks!

Hope you solve the issue soon, and you may want to ask the same question over on ********.com if you haven't already. This site is much slower and is more Cayman oriented, so you may not get many replies here. ******** has a massive 911 owner base from classic air cooled to latest 992 GT3 and TT owners
