Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello all! What does this button do? And do you recommend it being enabled?

POST 2Original post

The button disables auto-stop-start (where the engine stops when you're stopped for lights, intersections, etc.) most people would prefer it remain OFF once turned off - but the newer models don't allow that.

POST 3Original post

Yes, when it's lit - auto stop start is OFF. That saves the engine from having to start too many times. It's will go ON on restart in 2016+ cars, so we have a solution to keep it OFF: T-Design Memory Module : Memory Module for sport modes, auto start stop and more for Porsche 911, 991, 981, 718, 958, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera Accessories and Mods for your Porsche 911, 991, 981, 718, 958, GT4, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera. Memory module remembers setting for Auto Start Stop, PSE, Sport modes. t-design9.com

POST 4Original post

Thank you...So it's best to keep it lit I presume

POST 5Original post

I can't speak for other models - but the 2022 Macan loaner I have in the driveway retains the last status of the switch on a stop park start sequence. So once autostart/stop is turned off - it stays off.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
