0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Use their parts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use their parts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ive been in the market for a taco. Im okay with a replica if its decent quality. Ive been seeing this one on eBay, see that a few people have bought it but cant seem to find any reviews on it. Anyone know if this is worth it?
It doesn't appear to be a Duraflex product so is it fiberglass ? If it's fiberglass a good body shop can make it look and fit great . Just know that it may fit great right out of the box OR require $$$ to make it usable. Do you have a link ?
yeah the descriptions dont say much. A few pages are selling the same wing, with slightly different descriptions for each. Heres one

its definitely not Duraflex though. Some pages say its Carbon Fiber, some dont say anything haha. But if you notice, the bottom of the deck lid has these extra holes then an OEM one. Specially one thats under the where the latch would be
Looks like the top part of the wing is carbon, the rest probably just regular glass. Honestly it looks pretty good considering price point. My only question would be fitment, add says 2005-2011 and includes models such as C4S. I know it wont fit my 4S, as it is a wide body. Send the seller a message about year and model fitment. If he does have them for your car I would go for it. Just my .02. Good luck.
I always wonder how well do fiberglass or carbon fiber lids hold up to constant opening and closing ? Is the latch area prone to cracking ? Just seems to me a weakness waiting to rear its ugly head .
My Aerokit wing from Porsche is fiberglass, so I guess if it's good enough for them. I deal with fiberglass cowlings on aircraft. It is a much more intense atmosphere than the deck lid on the back of a sports car. We have never had one just crack at any of the attach points unless someone did something wrong in the installation in that area. Last few years carbon has been all the rage in cowlings, they are far stronger than the fiberglass they replace. I have not seen any of those crack or fail no matter what people have done to them. I am talking about very thin material with the cowlings. The deck lids are way thicker, much more material, I doubt they would ever crack unless in an accident.
Sorry to revive an old thread.
Eric,
Did you end up getting that ebay carbon taco wing? If yes, what are your observations and opinion?
I've been eye-balling them and was looking for first hand feedback..
Thanks!
no I didnt end up buying an eBay one.
i ended up spending the extra cash and got a taco from GettyDesign. Side Skirts from G-T Racing. And then bought an OEM bumper from the first person I saw selling one.
