Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello. The glovebox handle on my 996.2 C4 has come loose on one side. I assume I need to get inside the glovebox lining to check it/replace it. Before I butcher the glovebox please can someone advise how to remove the fastenings for the lining... see photo? Thanks

Thanks. Yes that is helpful but those 2 screws in the diagram are under the glovebox lining. It is the lining I am unsure how to remove. The fastenings in my picture look like it may pop off but don't want to damage the lining/fastenings.

POST 4Original post

Sorry, I thought the circled items were screws, that went through the lining, straight into the lock.

I'm not really sure what they are. I thought they would be screws as well but don't seem to be and can't find any info anywhere about removing the lining

POST 6Original post

Here is the whole section of the manual for the glove box. In some of the other illustrations they look like Torx screws.
