Dears I would like to know the oil quantity w/ and w/o filter. MY 2020, 992 S - It is not written in any driver manual… Searching for technical documentation but apparently nothing has been shared on the web. Thanks

There is all sorts of info/DIY videos out there on this just a simple Google search away that says 8-9 liters with filter change for the 992 depending on drain time and top off after the change. Are you sure this is not in the manual, as that would be a first for me since since every P car I have ever owned over the last 20 years has this info info listed in the manual? This is basic info for any car, not just Porsche , so it seems strange that this info would not be in the owner's manual somewhere?

Measure what you take out, then put the same amount back in plus about 1/3 liter to account for oil stuck in the filter. I seem to get a different amount out of my 981 each time I change the oil - from 7-9 liters. Without a real dipstick, the only sure way to not overfill or underfill is to measure.

I underfill (not by a large amount) go on a short loop till warm enough to run the check. Return to garage, re-inspect from start up for leaks, run oil check and add. If I don't land on the bar under top right away I don't sweat it. I let the car cool and rerun the loop another time because adding hot in my experience will read higher later when the oil settles and a restart takes place. Adding is simple, getting back under to crack the drain plug , run some into the catch and start over is no bueno.
