Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have just moved to Aus and my car is due in a month or so - 997 C2S. May I ask if you can recommend the best (value & quality) places for OEM parts? Not interested in buying from the Porsche centres, as in the first instance it is just the front brake pads/discs etc that need changing, and it may end up getting done as part of the compliance. Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

On my 997 C2S I purchased disc’s, pads and sensors for Four wheels from Autohaus Hamilton. Good quality parts and reasonable prices when compared to o/s delivery charges. Oh and you always get a caramello koala in the packaging 🙂

POST 4Original post

My mechanic says he gets usually 3 prices - AH, BWA and PC Brighton.  Anything I buy myself I tend to end up at AH, must be the Koala that swings it....

Not deliberately, I'm not that clever....

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, I will send out some enquiries.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Update - Front pads/discs/sensors/dampers Autohaus - $880 ASV - $770 without dampers Unique Autoparts - $1340!!! Design911 from back home in the UK - $605 incl. GST, no duty or handling to pay, and they only took 5 days to get here! I really wanted to support local businesses when I got here, but the Porsche tax is heavy in Australia! Thanks for all the suggestions.
