Is PCM that good or were you thinking of resale value etc. Finally is the Alu gear/handbrake option only cosmetic or is the gear change shorter?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Very nice, is that metropole blue interior. How much is the
armourfend
going to cost and who did you get to do it.
Looking forwarded to hearing how the next 20ft go !!!

Its black leather, very Bright flash. Armourfend is gonna cost me £850 including £130 travel expenses for them to fit it at mine. I can email you the details johnny, It gives a breakdown of costs and shows you what areas of the car you can get protected.
So happy.

"£130 travel expenses" !!!!!
Are they coming from London?
I love the carpet in the garage. Wouldn't suit my old cars but it would be nice.
Migration info. Legacy thread was 1991
Nick I think they are coming from london, but as long as its done properly they can have thier expenses. Carpet in the garage ensured my social standing in the community as a nutter! Not to mention the big
fluorescent units and the
spot lights! Im hoping to land a staring role in the remake of 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest'...as myself!

sarbs ........
i thought i was a car-obsessed chap - but that carpet is truly worth a round of applause...
you just must do a trip in that baby. It can sit down on it's haunches in bends and you will swear it's actually glued to rails.....

Thanks, the car is really good. The garage is tidy but nothing compares to Reading FC's chairman, when I signed for them in 98 he showed me round his mansion, and behind a glasswall in a seperate room overlooking his swimming pool he had a Ferrari 328gts!!! Actually built into the f'ing house! Now thats the benchmark which we must aim!
Migration info. Legacy thread was 2058
His 5.0ltr Cobra and Jag XJ220 were awesome. I was into ferraris then, and had to be surgically removed from his 348 gts!

Wouldn't have believed your garage without seeing the photos! Not only carpet but magnolia walls and an oil radiator (if my eyes don't deceive me). Just move the sofa and TV in there and your done.
The car looks great (I'm still considering changing to Arctic). Is that the standard sports steering wheel or did you spec the optional one.
Try no to drool too much on J-Lo's ass!
BTW try not to drool over J-Lo's rear too much

Robut........
is there any chance you can get to Porsche gb Reading before the final spec date for your car? I went there about a month before my spec date and viewed all the 4s's that were being ready'd for customers, this way you can see what colour you love the most. Blue with grey was great, yellow and black was awesome (but would get on my nerves after a day or 2), and dont rule out trusty red with black, but for me it just had to be Artic, the lighter colours show up the curves and the detail a lot better in my opinion didnt help that harry connick jnr started singing 'it had to be you' on the radio when I walked up to the first artic silver 4s!
And the steering wheel is standard, I have a very good friend very high up in pgb and he made me spec the car as sensibly as possible, the only non essential that I spec'd was the alu gear and hand brake (which I love). Exhaust, PCM and Xenons obligatory in my book.
But rest assured your getting one hell of a car whatever colour or spec!

hmmm Carl I too was intrigued by who you were, enough to do a little digging with all the clues you gave us and ended up listening to your interview (hopefully it was you!) on the bbc website the other day made after your hat-trick against Brighton. The picture with it didn't show your leg so I could compare it
to make identification complete.
Now wondering if I can flog the wife and kids and join the 996 C4S club!!!!

Great idea about PGB. I will be in UK around Easter and definitely visit them. Did you need to make an appointment? I have seen most colours but just can't decide between Arctic and Meridian.I also was conservative on specs (Sports exhaust, Xenons, Bose - for when I switch the exhaust to quiet, heated seats - UK can be damn cold and my garage isn't heated or carpeted!). Didn't spec PCM as my "other car" will have sat nav. Is PCM that good or were you thinking of resale value etc. Finally is the Alu gear/handbrake option only cosmetic or is the gear change shorter? The stick looks shorter in the pics.
Thanks

Robut....I had the day arranged for me as a favor, speak to your dealer and it shouldn't be a problem, I drove down in a new 996 targa which was nice in itself. You'll go with Artic not doubt, the car really looks awesome in artic, I really liked Meridian but it isnt artic. The new PCM II is much better than the old one and thankfully doesnt have a tape deck in it. you can remove the nav disc and use it as a cd player but i've a cd unit in the boot so no need. That said If you listen to music in the car your nothing but a Heathen!!! I get in J-LO flick to audio, select mute, then flick the map on. I had a 111s with no stereo, music ruins proper driving for me. The Alu gearstick is only cosmetic I think, feels good and looks great though. Resale isnt of concern I have no interest in selling, My main problem is that I want to drive J-LO all the time, need a J-LO for best and an every day J-LO!
Ps the jibe at my garage was noted!
The heater is on full blast, need to warm it up so I can zymol J-Lo tomorrow!

Not really a serious jibe at your garage! Actually made me consider painting the garage floor for when my new pride and joy arrives in July.
Migration info. Legacy thread was 2223
Robut.....having the garage floor painted stops a lot of the dust etc that gathers from an untreated concrete surface. I've gone a step further here as its so bloody cold up north and I spend a lot of time in the garage zymoling etc. doesnt cost much just get an industral cord carpet grey with blue fleck to offset your artic c4s in july!
