I have a PhatBox I ran in my 02 Allroad years ago. It replaced the CD changer in the hatch. I removed the CD changer from my 996. The two devices do not have the same connectors. Is it possible to run a Phatbox in a 996 and if so is there an adapter? My current daily Q7 TDI has a "Jukebox" music hardrive. I would like to have one in the 996 if it's a simple solution. Thanks

Phatbox and Kenwood music keg are the same thing. You should be able to run a phatbox using a Kenwood head unit that has those controls
You will have to run the phatbox control wire to both the head unit and the phatbox.
I did this in my s2000. I just kept the phatbox under the passenger seat so it was pretty easy to run the wire.
To be honest you can accomplish the same thing by getting a head unit that accepts a memory card. I have a pioneer head unit with a 500gb memory card in it with all my music. The controls aren't great but no worse than the phatbox.
That being said I can't remember the last time I used something other than Spotify in the car.
I�m in the middle of splicing Audi Phatbox harness to Becker CDC-3 BE2660 harness. Three wires I could use some help with.
the blue wire (BUSON) and the violet wire (RST) from the Becker unit do not have a home. The black wire (PW-TX (Data to changer)) doesn�t have a home. The black wire on a Sony head unit is labeled clock function. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
I�m going to use this Pin diagram and see what happens. The Becker is very similar to a Sony and some say Sony manufactured for Becker. That comes from the Benz world. I�ll update when I get installed.
