Like if my wheels are 18x11.5 I would wanna put a recommended size which is around 305/315.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Quote: OZ Racing Mito Version 1 3 Piece 18x8.5 +41 offset (with 8mm spacers) 225/40, I might change it to 235 or 245... 18x11 +60 offset (with 15mm spacers) 275/35 for now, 305/30 soon, just waiting for these to wear out. The wheels were originally silver spokes with polished lip and rivets. But now it's gloss black.... I'm also selling them but I'm not allowed to sell/trade on this forums (banned) ...

Quote: So you've got 33 offset for front and 45 offset for rear.... Do you have any other angle pics showing front and rear?

POST 6Original post

Nine-eleven, have a pic of the rims for us to see. So if you jump from 235 to 245 does this mean stiffer sidewall too? I know the width is slightly wider in the back with a 305 but how does this effect ride quality.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source posts: 3331422, 3331431, 3331672

Quote: You are correct on the offset substituting the spacers millimeter. I will look in my album today... Quote: Will do man. Quote: I will have some rims pictures. Now the rims are (gloss black) figured it's more aggressive with the way the car sound (loud *** hell) with straight pipes and muffler delete. If I go from 225 (current) to 245 it would actually be a bit harder to steer but not dramatically change the whole steering response. Side wall is about the same. 305 in the back will have more grip and gas guzzler rather than 265/275. But not so much noticeable on the gas... My thing about "POKE WHEELS" and "STRETCH TIRES" ..... I like the wheels flushed to the fender NOT sticking out way too much. That way it enhance the handling and stance of the car but not over exaggerating it. I like the tires when it's a square setup. Meaning not too stretched. Like if my wheels are 18x11.5 I would wanna put a recommended size which is around 305/315. That's more of big boys style rather than stretching the tires and poking the wheels out.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 3331845

Quote: Read my comment above about stretch and poke. Even if it turns to it, there's nothing you can do about it. It's their car, it's their poke. That's what makes it beautiful, different tastes on cars and style, that's what car enthusiast is about. If we all drove the car same model same everything. The world will be boring. Generally: Nice cars wouldn't have anything to compare with out ugly cars. It'll all be the same. So some how we have to thank those differences.

POST 12Original post

Quote: Fully agree with you, there's no right or wrong and we can all agree to disagree on things. That's what makes the forums great. Or else we'd all be "assimilated" by the Borg. lol I was just stating my opinion and outlook on things especially with some of the guys wanting to go wider than feasible just for show.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 3332914

Quote: Yeah man, I'm not into the poke thing either, just right flush to the fender.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here you go. I don't think these offset is exaggerated (poke) right? I was just going for just flush to fender look.

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 3333505

Quote: "Poke" is a relative term these days as there are many variances of opinion but the original term that meant any lip of the wheel sticking past the fender was considered "Poke". Can't really tell from this angle if your lip protrudes past your fenders but you're definitely on the mild side. You definitely have some stretch going on but you stated that you will be updating the tires later. It will be interesting when you update the tires if you'll need to roll/pull your fenders or not. I guess you could always decrease the spacer thickness as well if your inners aren't hitting your suspension. Either way, kudos for finishing up the MK2 conversion.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 3333919

Quote: Yeah I'm well aware of "poke" flush, hellaflush, stance, and wrong fitment cars. I actually hang out with guys that has super stretch tires and what not. But I stand behind what I like and I don't get influenced by the hype. Besides I know what NOT to do on a Porsche 911. As I stated I like flush to fender look that's it nothing over the fender on stretch tires. Yes I'm throwing 305/30 on the rear and 245/35 front. I also pre-rolled my front and rear fenders to be ready for the 305 or 315. My back spacing is fine with or with out spacers. Thanks the MKII conversion I did myself in my garage, made a temporary paint booth in the garage with filter of course. I installed everything, wired the lights and painted everything as well as wetsand and buff... People ask what shop I took it to becasue they wanna get their cars painted and said it looks good.

You can tweak def the mac and tune, but you are now into custom work and that requires bi $$$. Enjoy the mod.... it can be driven as a daily driver as that was the intent of the kit. If you need more power.... I would get another car. But better yet.... take it to the track, you'll soon realize that it is the driver that needs the most upgrade.
