Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm running the stock 18" solid (I believe...never actually checked) turbo twists on my C4, but use a 15" (gasp!) lightweight BBS rim (12 lbs.) on my Miata.

Suggestion
Suggest replacing the "GT3" on the rear with "Escalade3" or similar...it gives the same vibe.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
67 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Uh...19's are too big already. The car gets twitchy with oversized 19's on it. I can only imagine what 20's would do. Not to mention the weight increase. Why on earth would you want to do that?
C.
I do, and I did.
I wasn't referring to you as moronic, just the concept of putting 20's on a Porsche and giving it the turning radius of an aircraft carrier.
I understand that the hardcore Porsche fans do not want 20" :-)
I think the turn radius would be the same - because the tireradious is almost the same as orginal - y only replace rubber/tire with higher wheels...
What I think is typical is that many persons in forums like this - only like orginal parts and messurements. I think it is allowed to go further than this :-)
Where is the "Pimp my Porsche" post ?
You remind me of the "less than bright" policeman that kept pepper spraying Luke Wilson right after saying "What" with a real dumb droned sound in the movie Idiocracy.
Did anybody see that movie? Awesome, it's got Electrolytes!
I'd sooner go down to 17" than go up to 19" or 20". I'm running the stock 18" solid (I believe...never actually checked) turbo twists on my C4, but use a 15" (gasp!) lightweight BBS rim (12 lbs.) on my Miata. It makes perfect sense to me why someone would want a lighter rim, but I don't understand why anyone ever goes bigger. It makes for a worse ride, the car is more easily damaged, and they're $expensive$.
Can anyone share with me why I should want even, say, 18" rims on my 996? Doesn't "less unsprung weight = better handling"?
cuz it looks so damn good and it's no more worse for wear along the performance front for a public road designed car like the 911. in your next life if you actually made $$ with your laptimes, racing talent then go for all out performance... but none of you guys are and even if you were, you wouldn't cry foul cuz someone rolled 19s. looks count.
period. game over. thank you. good nite.
I am thinking of 22" rims.....unique autosports should be able to help or west coast customs.....I will make sure not the post the results on this forum.....everybody here is to uptight and fat and old and bald.
Hey een Nederlander
Totally of topic, checked out your link, very nice!
I thought I had the best job in the world... by the looks of it you do
Cheers,
Sid.
Through my purple haze of bliss I had a vision of some 20" rims on my P. ride (found a good deal) but was dreading the dumpy ride...
The haze cleared and have decided against it...yes, no, yes, no, yes, no....
Think I need some more pills!
Hey BTW Ed, good looking kid ya got there, guess he gets his looks from his mother
well at least he's got your hair, he'll thank you for that later when he's got his own cab. 911 with 6 hotties in it!
Oh that's maybe not the best values... but it does have almost all the food groups in there.
Hey did someone say food?
I run 20's on my 996 and it rides and handles great. You can roll the rear fender lips for clearance if needed. Stiffer springs and shocks are also required. It's strictly a street setup but it's gives the 996 a lot of personality and stance.

I have 19's and thats pushing it...forget the 20's. I have 22's on my BMW and everytime you run over a dime in the road you have to get your bent rim repaired....
Eggo's car definitely has a nice look to it; but I prefer a little more sidewall and not having to go thru making the rear fender fit the tires. I also picked up replacement mint Vred 295/30/19's for a great price, so my 19's stay the same for now. I still have to see about getting a little more neutral on the rear camber...
Ray, when I see pics of the larger wheels it doesnt bother me as much as when I see them in person... the 996's with 19's (or bigger) just dont look right to me... that said there was one ni the shop with 17's yesterday and it looked "wrong" too
maybe I am becoming narrow minded
Dont stress, they all got a place to sleep
The Datsun I just had restored and it's so perfect...great cars for not a bunch of $$$$. The Z actually gets alot more attention at Starbucks than either....!
This video will help you. By the way, don't load the bolt of your M-16 or M-4 up with oil for when trudging through rain. Your first shot thows water and oil into your eyes. Then you're looking through oil/a purple haze.

huuh huhmmmm, I won't ask how you came by this knowledge... as long as you didn't experience it from your bike at a 100 m/hr it's all good.
And no worries, I always shoot from the hip
As for the tunes , yeahhhhh baby that's the way to ride
Sid.
Yah Sid I'm trying to make a collection of mp3's for car and bike. Picked up the Scala G4 headsets that does blue tooth remote phone, a mile between bike communications, bluetooth connect to mp3 player and has a radio in it all in a small package. If I can also find a dependable 300 or 400 watt stereo for the gsxr1000 that will allow me to blast guys on harleys when I'm near them or passing I'll have my going to the dark side complete after being a harley guy in my younger years. I've got born to be wild and all that ready for them to get blasted with. Mountain, Robin Trower, James Gang and more to tempt them to come to the dark side of liter bikes. I've still got the 2002 screaming eagle 1200 pro street sportser badged on the tank as an 883 hehehe. I'm taking both bikes to the Labor Day run weekend on the big island. It should be a solid week of crusing satisfying local police with bikes to stop or chase.
He ya know what... record a big old dog barking and then play it back real LOUD over that 400w. stereo
That should quiet down those damn Harley riders
BTW, how the hell are you going to ride 2 bikes at the same time
Pictures or it didn't happen
Yeah watch your back with the cops although I hear they're much nicer on the big island
