Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm selling a nice set of 18" from my C4 with a hardly use set of tires.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all. Im considering switching from 19 wheel to 18 on my 99 C2. What are things I need to consider size change? IE, Speedo calibration, tire sizes etc.
If you put stock sizes on it will have a high reading speedometer just like it did when it left the factory.
225 40 18
265 35 18
996 to the best of my knowledge never came from the factory with 19s
If you going with standard widths and offset, I’d try finding some MY 02 Carrera 2, oem 5 spoke, super lightweight and won’t break the bank. Maybe try the local meets and see if anyone has some as take offs and refinish them in a color you like. Here’s a pic of my 99 with oem turbo twist hollows. Hard to see but the center caps are a graphite color that I’m thinking about getting the wheels powder coated. As seen with 15 mm spacers to fill it out a bit
depends on what you want go with, unlikely to make much difference compared to the speedometer error. Use the Discount Tire calculator to determine the difference:

I've been contemplating going the opposite way 18 to 19 inch to fill in the wheel well a bit and then the speedometer would be about right.
Why are you going 19 to 18? Do you feel like the ride is too harsh?
