Just out of Henefer, UT, ran into a cattle drive/stampede that I thought my car was going to be crushed.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You can tell by the pictures that its not a real GT3 MK1 because it has a sunroof and rear wiper..... saying that it is full GT3 spec!
Its a early 3.4L thats been played with a bit if you know what i mean!!

cool! is yours 18 or 19?
any rubbing issue? i have 1.5 negative camber in the back and roll fender still rub a little when i hit a big dip on the street. i think 2-3 would clear it.
cheers

I have the 19s, and no rubbing issues; however, I have a sport coil over system (Yellow DPS Coilover) and the arch of the wheel wells are exactly 25" from the top of the arch to the street. No rubbing issues and no rolling of the fenders. How about another photo or two of your car???
my car is lower a little bit from factory, i forgot the option name but assume about 10mm. Just order a set of KW v3 and will add more negative camber then i should be ok. let see a picture of your car as well please.

here is a few.
The coilover set up I have is the lowest and softest settings
No question the ride is much stiffer inspite of the soft setting. I am an old timer who grew up with real sports cars (MGA-Austin Healy-Triumph-Lotus) all from the late 50s and early 60s. For this reason I like a firm setting which allows the driver to feel the road and all my senses are tuned in
. This set up measures exactly 25" from the top of the wheel arch to the ground both front and back

Well spotted! Its a custom blade as i thought the original cup blade was to straight for the lines of the car so i got this one instead. Any yes they are 19's 8.5x19 on fronts and 11x19 on rears.

All i can say is wow, this is the most super clean looking 996 i seen. At first glance it looked like a 997.
What wheels and suspension are you running? If you dont mind me asking.

Holy Choatie!
This is the best looking 3.4 I've ever seen! Could you tell me what spoiler you're running? and exhaust system?
Thanks for sharing your gt3 spec.
Early morning Saturday drive in Park City, UT. Appears at least 2 of the local cops are at the bagel shop. We did encounter a couple sheriffs and the same highway patrol. Got the feeling they called around saying watch those guys driving on the backroads....they look like they're up to no good. Did let it rip in a couple open areas with a clear visual. Fun Drive!
These light covers were on it when I bought it. I like them. I didn't know at first, but they've grown on me. They are techart covers. The bumper is a GT3 front bumper with more down draft spoiling. In these photos the car is about 1" lower than now. I was hitting the bump stops and not able to get in and out of driveways, etc. Drives nicer now...especially over any bumps.

Very nice I have the same front bumper with a mesh, I think you should try to do thhat also, I can't find a good spoiler and a splitter, any suggestions? What I've seen so far they look cheap.
Thank you for posting your pics your ride looks great.
Hey Franco, Where do I look to find good looking mesh? Do you have a 3rd radiator too? Cool better or fine with 2? Thx for letting me know on the mesh.

They have some interesting ones. I have an Additional GT3 Radiator installed, please let me know where I can get a nice front spoiler and sppliter? At reasonable price.
Cheers

Vivid Racing / vividracing.com sells my bumper and many different front spoilers. I don't have a rear spoiler ...other than the stock one that goes up at 75 mph. I do like the looks of Fast996's rear spoiler on the previous page. What do you think? Personal preference that I like it better than the taco ones for the rear. Thoughts?
Quote:
Taco spoiler is a little too much for my taste, I think also it's a personal choice, don't want offend anyone. Yes I am familiar with Vivid Racing I've been working with them to get a set of headers. I was also looking into
www.gt3tek.com
but to be honest I am not quite sure, don't want to order it and then return it if I don't like it once I have it on my hands. Too much of an ordeal with such a large piece.
Quote:
Hey Fast996 who makes your front spoiler? We were just discussing that with Parkcity991 I am looking for a decent looking one.
Please let me know
Thanks

Could you please post some good pics of your ride? Like to see it....I have a GT3 Aero kit but I think might not look good if I mixed it up. Uhmm
Thank you
I'm fairly positive that my bumper is this one / available at
www.vividracing.com
. It was on the car when I bought it and it is fiberglass. I poly may be stronger, but it is what I have. Anyway...best of luck in your shopping! Cheers.

yeah, bought the body kit from precision porsche, minus the hood grill and bottom lip which are OEM from Porsche. The original rims were only 17" and I felt like they were too small for the car, but I did like the spoke style look.
Drove Mirror Lake Highway out of Park City, UT starting at 6:30AM Sunday morning. Drove 80 miles to Evanston, WY and back down through East Canyon. Just out of Henefer, UT, ran into a cattle drive/stampede that I thought my car was going to be crushed. Just a bit of cow poop and snot on it to remember the event. All in all a great drive witih no tickets. Hit some nice speeds on the straights and slowly enjoyed the beauty through the twistys. Went to 11,000 feet over the summit. After the drive I changed my oil at home.

Hi John, Nice c2 I particularly like the c4s front bumper conversion that I personally just started on my own 2002 c4. Quick question, did you remove or trim the inner bumper foam to fit the c4s bumper...? Seems like mine fits a little lower to perfectly match with the hood... an tips?
