Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have or know of an Independent repairer that has a Porsche PIWIS?  I am just wanting to get my car (996) coded so that the doors automatically lock once the car exceeds 5kms ph ( i used to have Smart Remote model that allowed me to program it myself).  The Porsche dealer wants $260 to do this for me.  Also there is an alarm issue (double beep when you lock the car with the FOB, which indicates that the interior sensor is not working (the doors lock fine) and would like to see what the PIWIS shows as the issue)

POST 3Original post

I suspect the OP is looking for a more cost effective outcome ..  lol

But probably still cheaper than OPC??

POST 6Original post

PR Technology in Brookvale has PWIS but if it is not a straightforward edit then maybe it takes some time so $260 becomes not so unreasonable.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
