Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking at purchasing Feal 441 coilovers for a 2001 996 C2 and aiming for ~1 inch drop lowered suspension. Have seen conflicting recommendations on need for front adjustable sway bar drop links and for adjustable rear toe control arms in order to get a proper alignment. Do you think I can get a good alignment with nonadjustable stock front sway bar links and rear toe control arms? thanks Dave

POST 2Original post

Yes you can, I've done to 2 cars, both 996.2 and no different to your .1 with Feal coil-over and no problem with alignment.

POST 3Original post

I had to have the adjustable toe links when I had my 996.2 C2 aligned after dropping my Feals to "GT3-specs". I didn't need them when I had my Feals set to the maximum height, which is much less than 1". I used adjustable drop links on the front. I also installed front adjustable drop links on other 996s that I've installed Feal coilovers on. (C2 & C4)
