Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

About 10 minutes later I tried to lower the drivers window and it didn't work; checked and found that Fuse C3 was blown out again.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The windows in my '04 GT3 would not raise or lower (they would drop down 1/2" to open & close doors) and the Power Door locks were not working correctly. I found that Fuse C3 was blown and replaced it; windows were working again. About 10 minutes later I tried to lower the drivers window and it didn't work; checked and found that Fuse C3 was blown out again. Any hints as to what the cause of this problem might be?

The C3 fuse is 15 amps, I'm sure you checked that? Maybe there's a drag on the motor creating an overload. What about raising and lowering the window with the door open, does it blow the fuse in this mode? Does the fuse blow on both doors, or just the driver's door? I show D1 for "power windows front" - 30 amps. Further my 2003 996 sheet shows B6 for "power windows" - 15 amps. I'd be sure you have all the correct fuses in place.
