Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all, I have both ABS and TC light on, older car so it uses 5.3? I think. It used to be that after a semi long drive if i restarted the car they would turn off. Not the case anymore. I bought a durametric to read and I have a code 0 - module didn't initialize, on airbag, abs, cluster. But engine and alarm connect. It is my understanding that there are 2k lines, one seems to be working and the other not. Voltage wise they seem identical to each other both ignition on and off. Where should I go next to sort this? I also checked the wires at the module and there's correct voltage and grounds on them all. I seem to be getting correct ohm ranges 1.6k ish on all 4 of my speed sensors.. The speedometer works fine. After testing the speed sensors I changed the module to a matching part number known working part and also no change. I'm looking to either get the Durametric to read it or any suggestions of other tests I can do to find out the abs issue manually. Thanks for any replies.

Hey @cb777 , that sounds like a frustrating one, especially after you've already confirmed good voltages and grounds on the module. Since the Durametric isn't initializing the module, have you tried using it on another car to confirm the cable is working correctly on both K-lines? Knowing that might help the community narrow down whether it's a tool or a car issue.
