Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Nice, clean car but the price is a bit on the high side for a 1999-2001 car.
Leading evidence: 'Clean car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My friend wants to buy it. Do you think it's a good deal?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-Porsche-911-Carrera-Coupe-w-Tiptronic-Low-Miles-/130764115961?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e72260ff9
if the PPI checks out checks out and and he can provide service records that prove the 60K mile service, then its a good deal. but with out the records the price seems a bit high.
Actually that's not the reserve price that you see, it's the Buy-It-Now price. I found out that the reserve price is $21,000, and that's a great price. The seller does have the records for the 60K mile service, and he will let the buyer call the dealer where all of the service records/history can be double-verified. Blue Book price is right around 22K, and with all of the new parts, new wheels, and new tires, that car looks like a steal at the reserve price of $21,000
you should check the one posted on the classified page (link below). It has a fresh Jake Raby/LN sleeved engine with IMS upgrade for $17.9k. I think a much better deal for a 3.4 car anywhere.

The red car with the work done by LN is a great deal, I agree, a much better deal than the one posted at the top of this thread.
I'm not a red car fan otherwise I'd be seriously considering it!
The engine on the red car is modified now, and no longer stock. I wouldn't trust it. That kind of 3rd party after-market engine mod makes a car lose value. Besides, anyone who puts Continental tires on a Porsche has a few screws loose in my opinion, and that red paint looks weird.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion...but anyone who knows 996's also knows that a Jake Raby built engine is much better than a factory original engine, has thicker cylinder walls and is an upgrade from original ADDING value not losing it...but then again, it's just my opinion.
Joe K, Is your friend looking for a particular model or color. I don't have mine for sale but I'm wanting to get a 993 or 964 & I will have to make room for it. I have a very very nice 02' blk/blk 996 60k miles, if he wants to see some pics let me know & I could furnish as many as he wants. Thanks!
