Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
If youve had no luck, maybe check the screws for tight and pop the speaker cover to see if anything seems less-than-secure when you gently shake it?
Leading evidence: 'Check screws' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check screws' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. To check you remove the air con vent pipe (slides out) and there are two bolts that hold the whole unit in place, check they are tight.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all, Ive got a rattle from what sounds like somewhere behind the passenger airbag area. Usually hear it at slow speeds. Curious if anyones run into this.
Are you sure it is not the actual airbag cover rattling against the dash it sits in?
I spent ages looking for a rattle there and everything was tight, in the end I put some silicone spray all round the air bag cover edge and.......silence.
Haha Am I sure? Not at all. Ive tried pressing down on the airbag cover while driving to see if that helps the noise and it doesnt seem to. Im curious how did you diagnose the problem.
Get a passenger to ride along and try to locate where the rattle is coming from. There is a small fan located behind the "lid opening" on the right side of the dash. I've heard people go crazy with a noise coming from the right side of the dash. The little fan is for the cabin temperature sensor. I've never seen it but I'm pretty sure it is there. And, does your car have a glove box? Notorious for rattling and maybe something is rattling inside.
@gIzzE
the silicon spray doesnt affect the operation of the airbag if it needs to open? What sort of spray did you use?
I tried pushing the airbag cover to side while on the highway and the rattle did go away.
If youve had no luck, maybe check the screws for tight and pop the speaker cover to see if anything seems less-than-secure when you gently shake it? I had a Volvo that had a supremely annoying and mysterious vibration. Turned out a 2mm gap allowed a lock washer to do a wicked dance.
No, it is just where the two pieces butt together rubbing and making the noise, and silicone spray will just stop the friction and stop the noise.
This stuff...

You could test it with some regular WD40, I just know silicon spray will not mark the leather.
Am I missing something here?

If it stops when pressing on the airbag cover, that is the issue, or, the airbag is loose, but doubt that.
