Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I'm looking at two boxsters, an 03 with the 2.7L engine, or a 2000 Boxster S with the 3.2. Same asking price, similar kms on both cars. Recommendations and opinions welcomed. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I am assuming you are weighing the performance of the S v. the Glass top and updates of the 03. I think it depends what you see yourself using the Boxster for. My understanding is that everyone likes the updates of the 03, and there are supposedly a lot of the same bits that went to the Base from the S so these are even closer than you might think. Even though I live in a (sometimes) colder climate, I went for the simplicity of the early boxster myself.

POST 3Original post

Drive both before you decide. I just bought my 2000 S after test-driving several years/models. The performance of the Base just didn't move me as much (so to speak). But if the '03 is enough fun for you, it's a great choice.

POST 4Original post

I've owned both versions - the greater power and torque of the 3.2 is definitely worth the difference.
