Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey everyone, I have noticed a small coolant leak coming from the rear of the engine on the water pump > hose joint. Will need to get under there on the weekend to check it out fully. Hopefully, it is just the hose/fitting. While I'm in there what else should I be doing ? Seems like water pump and thermostat is what other people are doing preventatively, any other recommendations? Thanks, Eden.

POST 2Original post

The water pump is the only area for concern and you are doing the 'other common' item, so really, the only other area to determine if worthy, is the coolant plastic tank

POST 3Original post

Change the pump and thermostat if you're going to trouble shoot.  Pumps in particular have a finite life.
