Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I recently picked up an 03 C2 with 42K on it. I just washed it and waxed it today and then when I went to start it it was running fine, however, when I let it idle for a little bit, I saw the check engine light came on. So I scanned the car and P0301 was the code. I erased it and decided to ride it around the block and I noticed it was bogging, and the check engine light came back and was flashing. To my knowledge, Coils are original but spark plugs were replaced over ten (10) years ago. Any idea what it is? I decided to order New Coils and Plugs as preventive maintenance based on other threads I saw.

POST 2Original post

I assume before you washed it the car ran fine ? You probably have a cracked coil from thousands of heat cycles . The new coils/plugs " should " fix it .

Car was running fine, just drove it on Wednesday 120 miles, without any issues at all.

POST 4Original post

Nothing good comes from washing a 911 ..... by dousing water all over the rear of the engine.
