Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So, I am a broken man but hoping to buy a used item and replace the whole thing with a new top or open to any other ideas.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, I recently fixed my 996.1 convertible roof at a cost of $3.5K and did the worst thing last month. The roof auto opened by the key in the ignition and as there was something on the roof it folded back and snapped some of the metal rods. Just been told it's $1K for the metal part and two weeks to fit and they don't know if anything else is broken. So, I am a broken man but hoping to buy a used item and replace the whole thing with a new top or open to any other ideas. Appreciate it.
