Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 2Original post

i bought the "mini" system from a guy in monterey park got it in 2 days, I got the 5k bulbs-I like them I pulled the headlight assy and on the back of the door there are 3 tabs sticking out, clip those off and the ballast will fit nicely with some goop to hold it. I drilled a 1/2" hole for the wires and gooped that to seal it and it worked fine. took about 20 min ea. and cost was about $28 this was on my '03 ymmv

Good info. Do you have the name of who sold it to you, any other particulars?

POST 4Original post

I ran a decent HID kit ($150) in my Viper, then a super cheap HID kit ($40) in my M3. There is a difference in quality of light and parts. Both were significantly better than OEM non-HID. Nick
