Are the rotors & pads all the same for 1999 - 2005 996's (non turbo) I need to replace my 2001 C4 (110k) brake rotors and looking on eBay and it's saying 2002 are different then 2001?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are the rotors & pads all the same for 1999 - 2005 996's (non turbo) I need to replace my 2001 C4 (110k) brake rotors and looking on eBay and it's saying 2002 are different then 2001? Is that the case? I thought they were all the same size, etc. from 99-05. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

POST 2Original post

The only way to be sure youre getting the right parts is to use Porsche part #s 996-xxx-xxx-xx. There are exceptions to the rule (many numbers have been updated/replaced with 997-xxx etc. Also fire some non critical/safety related thing there can even be 993-xxx-xxx-xx #s). EBay listings can be vague or just plain wrong (Ive bought plenty of parts that said they didnt fit but had the right numbers - they fit/were the right part). The #s are the key Right #s - right part. Wrong #s - wrong part. Good luck

POST 3Original post

Best way is to confirm the part numbers here: http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p..._911_parts.php

POST 4Original post

While the above may be true the fact is that any pad or rotor that says it will fit a c2 or c4 from 1999 to 2004 should fit as long as the caliper is stock.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have stock calipers......thats kind of what I thought. Thanks for the feedback

POST 6Original post

I also have a 2001 C4 Give us a call, we can ensure you get the right rotors and pads etc at a great price. --Aaron [phone removed]
