Right now I'm running stock cats and headers, but that's next for me to start in Stage 2.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had the rock guard's custom cut in flat black by instylegraphics.com using the shape of the clear rock guard that comes standard on 997's...You can get their contact info on the website and their pricing/quality is some of the most competitive I've seen!
...And since I don't want to be rude in the C4S thread...Here's 2 shots of mine

I will post my pics, once my H.R.E's get here at the end of the month.
p.s great post, i feel very special to own a
C4S
now, we are representing for all
C4S
, keep the thread going, I LOVE IT......
Fronts are 19"x8.5" with a 1.5" lip on 235/35/19, Rears are 19"x11.5" with a 3.5" lip on 315/25/19 continental tires. I'll PM you on an upcomming run maybe you can make it out..
Had to post up new pics of the HRE's......now I just need a wing. Haven't decided on which look I like best yet. Oh and it needs to be lowered(suggestions on lowering and keeping the ride quality welcome). Last picture is of my old I-Forged and my new HRE 890r's.
L8braker - I'm going to be taking off my Misha GT2M wing (you still use your OEM decklid, just swap out the retractable plastic wing with this fiberglass one) if you are interested. Just PM me. It's painted blue, but can easily be painted black at a reputable paint shop.

Love those wheels...Go with H&R lowering springs the ride is really good. I'm in & out NYC, Brooklyn & Queens...These streets are bad...really bad and the rides not that harsh with the H&R's
^^+1 with Lenny here, I've got a set of H&R springs on my 4S and they are just fine, not a harsh ride at all. Coilovers are great too, but not necessary IMO. I've got C/O's on my Boxster and I truly don't notice MUCH of a difference. Springs can be had for a few hundred bucks vs 5x that for the C/O's. Now, do bear in mind, the labor cost is pretty much the same!
Some shots of me on the track last November, I conveniently picked number 45, which after i put it on the car looks like 4S
Thanks to my buddy Matt for taking pictures of the event!
I am running 18" HRE's with 295/30 tires on my C4S. My car is lowered and there seems to be more room in the rear wheel well than I want. Anybody run a different size tire to fill out the wheel well better?
go figure. Some say stick with 18's .....for a number of reasons....some say go with 19's.........well..
I went with 18's and perhaps will have to deal with the result........
Zookie - Car looks GREAT!
Couple questions:
1.) Where did you get the Turbo front bumper spoiler?
2.) Are you running spacers on the wheels by chance and if so, what are they on the fronts and rears? I've got H&R Springs so car is pretty slammed so want to go wide but not too wide to give clearance.
Thanks.

Thanks buddy, lots of Thinking, taste and $$$$ has gone in to her :P
as for your 2 questions:-
1) I got it off Ebay last year, its an Orginal Part not Replica... But you can get a Replica from here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories
they used to be $350... I payed half of that :P
2) Yup 7mm All Around... i dont Rub
Zookie - +1 Rep point coming your way brother!!!!
Thanks for the link on ebay.....$445 + $75....WHOA!!! Isn't the CF piece like $650 from Ray at ROTEC on 6speed??? Damn buddy. If you find a cheaper one, please PM me......
As for the 5MM spacers, I'm on it. I've got a set of Champion RG5's, you think 5 will be enough for the rears???
Thanks dude.

Ray is a great guy to deal with, i know him personally and locally... But im not a big fan of Carbon on the outside specially since i scrape all the time
mmmm you could go 7mm all way around, what size tires are you running?
Yeah - never met Ray but he's TOP NOTCH from the interactions I've had with him!!! I'm scraping too here and there, so that's my concern as well. I just want a simple TT front lip to paint the body color.
As for the Champions, they're 19 x 8.5/11's set for the standard WB TT/C4S's on the 996 Platform. I'm running 245's on the fronts and 315's on the rears. I don't want TOO much of a bump out but heck, what's another 2MM.

Thats what i was running before a OEM TT Front Spoiler, but i left it black, it does look good Painted aswell... If you go back a few Pages from 08/07 you will see my Posts
mmmm my RG19's are 19 X 8/11.5's WB Offset, and im running 235/35 and 315/25 as per Champion MS... 7mm Should be fine for you
Terry / Zookie - Thanks for confirming it's Factory Aero Kit front spoiler. I can't find it online, where did you get it and how much are they? Found this one for like $100.00 on eBay but it's just not doing it for me compared to what the stock C4S lip already is. The Factory Aero Kit one is drastically different.
Thanks guys!!!

these are you 2 options, both are Replica's
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories
and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSC...Q5fAccessories
i have Both, but mine are Orginal's
Here's your 3rd option: a RUF front lip from the RTurbo I think.
link
(this one is just a replica, I don't even want to know how much the genuine costs)
Thanks Altaran - that RUF Replica looks like waaaaayyyyyyyy too much for me, but hell yeah, I can imagine if replica's go for 495, how much are the OEM's.....
Ok guys. Not sure if many of you know, but I decided to stay within the C4S family (couldn't leave a great crew of guys...
), so instead of picking up a 6TT, I decided to be even crazier and Twin Turbo my 996 C4S. Here's some shots of what the kit is, how it's installed and some really ROUGH/QUICK vids some guys got from our last GTG. The weather in the Mid-Atlantic has been nothing less than AWFUL, so I can't even enjoy the car. The preliminary dyno's have the car running just shy of 400HP to the wheels (about 470 @ the flywheel at just 5lbs of boost). Right now I'm running stock cats and headers, but that's next for me to start in Stage 2. I'm having an HKS Boost Controller installed this week/weekend and I'm hoping the weather holds clear, the freaking state figures out how to plow the roads, the HOA takes some of the monthly dues we give them and grab a front loader to clean the development, and I can not only bring Baby Blue home, but also take her out for a spin to stretch her NEW LEGS and get you guys some better vids!!! Please enjoy the look and sounds of the Garrett Turbo's and Tial DV's/Wastegates do what they do best and give that intoxicating WHOOOOSH like ALL turbo's should sound.....Yes, I'm CRAZY and have no idea what I was thinking when I did this....
ENJOY:

AND HERE ARE THE VIDEOS:
Here's a little vid clip as well. I didn't open it up by any means, but I love the whistle/whoosh at the end.

And another vid....don't mind the Lady GAGA playing in the Twin Turbo'd 996 GT3......hahahahaha......

wheels look great. turbo spoiler on the front end is also very cool. ever think about going arctic silver on the side skirts and rear skirts too? I just cant make up my mind about it. yours right now is a great look, pal....
Quote:
Thanks buddy... its the Aero Kit Spoiler not TT... Yes i have debating about it for the last 4 years about having them Painted... I drive my car all Year around and i was told they will get ruined... But i have had my Front Spoiler painted now for about a year and the Paint is still good.. So i think i might have the rest Painted this Summer...
Quote:
Right. thanks for the correction on the front end. I first saw that lip on Ben Choi's car and have always liked it.
I drive all year as well, and read something here awhile back about painting the sides, but just using a spray can on the front lip due to chips, etc, and relative ease of respray. I've been "thinking it over" way too long and just need to get it done. Maybe this summer. Cheers,
