Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

75 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 21Original post

Does anyone read GT PORSCHE mag? well if you don't, you should get your hands on the April 07 issue...It has a great article on the 996 C4S... a few quotes "[C4S] looks set to be the most collectable 996 - even taking into consideration the 40th aninivarsary model." "and while there is a wide-hipped 997 C4S, it doesn't have the presence and visual impact of the 996 incarnation, doesn't ape the range topping turbo, somehow doesn't look quite as cool. The 996 C4S was the 911 the 996 should have been all along." Amazing!

Damn Alexcwt!!!! That was a crazy burnout! Was the transmission okay after?

POST 69Original post

Quote: The trans was okay but the tires weren't. I had to throw on the big orange to limp home.

POST 70Original post

WOW! Now, that's what I call a tire burnout!!! LOL!

POST 71Original post

question. how did you paint your shift ****? did you remove the plastic piece to paint it? if so, how did you remove it? thanks in advance. mitch

POST 72Original post

Quote: It's actually quite easy. Get some blue painter's tape. Put a bag over the shift ****. spend about 30 minutes taping the parts you don't want paint. An exacto knife helps a lot. make sure you tuck the tape between the leather and the plastic. put on very thin 4 coats of yellow and 4 coats of clear coat. let dry in between and your done. If your ****, use a little thicker coats of the clear and sand in between.
