Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'does it rust faster' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'does it rust faster' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace bit ( a little deeper)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I really only want to eliminate the secondary cats and change the tips out.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's a $180 and will take 8 weeks to get. Give it a shot. I have read about people talking bad about
circuitwerks
, I bought it last year and it does the job, sounds good, no issues.
Worst case, it last 6 months, rusts out and you and all of us learned a lesson. Best case, you win because the average "x-pipe" tip is now $600+.
Go for it and report back.
I have the
circuitwerks
before everything shot thru the roof l, and zero issues, polishes nices, and looks and sounds good.
I fitted one to mine, only took about 2 weeks to get to UK, sprayed mine black as car is a Black Edition and the shiny stainless didnt look right. Fitment was fine but I did buy some stainless clamps as the ones supplied looked cheap and nasty.
I think the
exhaust
note has changed a bit ( a little deeper) when paired with my
carnewal exhaust
I have ordered one and will give it a try, it wont make any performance gains but should look nicer. The factory system of two pipes blowing directly into each other isn't great so anything is an improvement.
Companies claim gains. I call BS!
I got a little different engine note out of it. A little more rumble noise, but nothing dramatic. Looks better in my opinion.
I was never a fan of the big single pipe on these.
I’ve been considering replacing the
exhaust
outlet also. Like the looks of the twin tip over the guppy mouth. Theory is the X-pipe crossover reduces restriction on the flow, as it eliminates the two opposing muffler’s
exhaust
from pushing against each other. And the crossover, by reducing the restriction, lends to a better
exhaust
note which would be the result I would favor. Any claimed performance improvement would be insignificant but I suppose that’s enough for the manufacturer to make those claims.
I’ll be satisfied with the improved look and the slight change in the tone if I go that route.
I've been looking into this as well. After reviewing all the different
exhaust
options out there I think I'm going to give the "
Carnewal
"
exhaust
mod a go when the weather starts getting bad. I figure worst case I'm stuck buying a new system anyway so might as well give it a shot. I really only want to eliminate the secondary cats and change the tips out. I found this crossover piece on Ebay and grabbed it to see how it fit. Holding it up underneath the stock tip section it looks like it will work pretty good? Might need some trimming and adjustment. I'd have 2 tips welded to the outlets to clean it up. Could work out to be another less expensive option? The seller has a polished version also. I figure for $50 plus 2 tips (maybe $60?) it might be the cheapest crossover outlet option out there.

It says it’s made of stainless so as long as any welding of the new tips and the new tips themselves are also stainless there shouldn’t be any worry of rust?
It finally turned up from China and seems to be pretty good, come with new clamps as well. Welding doesn't seem to bad and looks like a good design. I had a look under the car in the weekend and it looks like the
exhaust
will have to be dropped as the existing clamps aren't accessible where they currently sit and all the bolts are rusty (joys of buying a car from the UK).
If you are doing it yourself you do not need to take
exhaust
off. Loosen one side of the
exhaust
at the holder and the cat. That should give you some play to get the old one out and put the new one in. Take one wheel off to do it and it is much easier. I have done this a few times. When I got my used
PSE
, I could not get the stock tips on, it was such a pain. Funny thing is when I switched the stock tips to the
soul
ones I found for 400 bucks it came off easy. These things can be fiddily.
The way the clamps have been positioned has the bolt head against the top balance tube so I cant get a spanner onto them. The bolts are so rusty I dont think they will undo so I will probably have to cut them.
Cheers
Yeah good luck. When I first put he
exhaust
on the studs from the cat busted. Spent 2 hours drilling them out. Rust sucks and this car was garaged its whole life.
