Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My 996 had 8 inch wide (18 inch high) fronts with an offset of 52 and 10 inch wide (18 inch high) rears with an offset of 65 and they fitted perfectly.

Suggestion

These wheels have both the offset and the width embossed onto the front of the rims, you should be able to use these dimensions and load them into various websites which calculate offset (I have an App on my phone called "Wheel Calc") to see the difference, if any, between your current wheels and these wheels.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will 996 GT3 Series 1 OEM wheels fit onto a 996 Series 1 (3.4l) Carrera 4 without any mods? Google and other forums are giving me conflicting information Cheers Dave Im talking about these wheels (this photo is just an example)

POST 2Original post

What are the 2 offsets? Should be marked on the rims ET32 or similar. That should be the deciding factor at a guess. Going from a GT3 to a C4 shouldn't have any other issues as brakes etc are larger on the GT3. Might be different of going from the C4 to the GT3 but you aren't. The later model factory wheels have the offset cast on the outside next to the valve.

POST 3Original post

I would presume so, my series 1 Carrera 2 came with these wheels from the factory.  The wheels were not GT3 specific rather they were Sport Design wheels which were optional across the 911 and Boxster range.  They came in a range of sizes 7.5", 8" 9" 10". My 996 had 8 inch wide (18 inch high) fronts with an offset of 52 and 10 inch wide (18 inch high) rears with an offset of 65 and they fitted perfectly.  These wheels have both the offset and the width embossed onto the front of the rims, you should be able to use these dimensions and load them into various websites which calculate offset (I have an App on my phone called "Wheel Calc") to see the difference, if any, between your current wheels and these wheels.
