Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check connectors all seem fine' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check connectors all seem fine' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

This was from today running about 202 F is it best to test again at cold start or at op temp?

the problem Im having is trying to diagnose while running real time values.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hello all. today Ive had me a cel appear on my 2001 c2 cab. code reads as p1341 bank 1 BLAH BLAH BLAH. yes cam deviation questions. the problem Im having is trying to diagnose while running real time values. apparently bank2 deviation is shown just above 6 but 1 is at 2.5.. so the question is why throw a code for bank1? should it not be bank 2 showing a fault or is it something else on bank1? checked connectors all seem fine. does a solenoid replacement need any special tools on the 996.1 or is it the two hex and pry it out? do I have to lock the the motor beforehand or what's the process. any info would be helpful as all the forums Ive read thus far, and videos watched are either 996.2 with the 3.6 or Boxster discussions or just about cam deviation and its allowances. baffled in Washington state or maybe overthinking it. could be both. thanks peeps
Watch your "cam actual values" as you rev the engine and report back.........
You should see both bank 1 and bank 2 cams move at the same time, the same amount, and then return.......If one side is slow to move, doesn't move as far, or is slow to return, then your actuator on that side is bad.....( not the solenoid but the whole actuator) ..
If one side doesn't move at all then you could have a bad solenoid, bad wiring, or bad DME ( burnt transistor) ...
can you confirm that the cam deviation values noted in screen shot at idle need to be divided by 2 as its at crank? putting car within allowances on both banks? also I went back and watched that video and watched it rev from idle. bank one was slow to change and values differed but seemed to return the same rate. assuming actuator as you mentioned? thanks again for the help
