This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently purchased my 996 and the former owner used silicone based glue to add some aluminum rings over the gages. Some of the silicone glue leaked onto the oil pressure gage. It seems impossible to get off. I tried dish soap as a degreaser to no avail. It seems the silicone has eaten the plastic. Is it possible to purchase just that one gage plastic. I hate to purchase a new instrument cluster for this small issue.

POST 2Original post

If you can't get any oem parts you can get aftermaket gauge faces from North Hollywood Speedometer.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks so much. They hooked me right up with some advice and can provide the face housing if that doesn't work.
