Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any advice appreciated! Wondering if anyone can confirm fitment of 997.1 wheels onto 996.2 Both are narrow body fit. The set I am eyeing off are quoted as follows: Wheels are 19" x 8.5 front and 19x 12" rear Tires are Pirelli  235-35-19 front and 305-30-19 rear These will work on ALL narrow body 997 models  2005-2009 ( c2 carrera and carrera cabrio) Specifically these are 997.1 GT3 hopefully fitting 996.2 Carrera2. I'm not in near my car right now, but mine are currently 18" and from memory the rears are 295's

POST 2Original post

Not sure a 12" rear will fit a NB. My WB 'S' only has 11's Have you got the wheel offsets?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmmmm.....might have to keep looking for 996.2 GT3 18's

POST 5Original post

Tried my 997S rims (11'' with 295\30 x 19) on a buddy's 996 nb but he would've needed to make some mods for clearance.  Hounddubs post from 6speedonline covers it well.

POST 6Original post

Had the same tyres on my rims on my 996. Can't remember the rim sizes. Fronts were 245s and tears were 305. Definitely scrubbed a fair bit.

POST 7Original post

19s are fine, if you don't mind a really rough ride it's worse if your car is lowered

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, I'll wait out for some 996.2 gt3's to come up...
