so now i opened the engine cover using the emergency cable pull under the passenger side rear light (easier than trying to access the front bonnet one) and now charging the battery from there - everything went haywire for a while but settling down now - so we will see

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks but this is not my problem - it is the drivers door which will not open this should still be possible with the key even with a dead or no battery

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

its probably this problem https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=955236&high=door+handle but combined with the dead battery which means passenger door doesnt unlock (which allowed access in the case above) so now i opened the engine cover using the emergency cable pull under the passenger side rear light (easier than trying to access the front bonnet one) and now charging the battery from there - everything went haywire for a while but settling down now - so we will see

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

update - bizarrely but helpfully when everything went haywire the drivers window opened very slowly and i was able to lean in and open the door from the inside - which points to the door latch problem above or in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVhjdZv5jjg
