Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

As part of my ongoing Boxster beautification process (basically just replacing worn out or broken parts as I find them), I want to replace the titular piece. Before doing some searching, I would have called it a 'right front inner fender liner' or something like that. It's the medium-sized plastic bit that also has a little flappy-do extension just in front of the right front wheel. Mine was mangled at some point before my ownership experience began. It's minor, but I want to replace it. If anyone here has replaced theirs, can you verify that this is the correct part? It looks right to me, but there's no real orientation in the linked diagram that I can see, so I'm not sure. 2009-2012 Porsche Fender Splash Shield 987-504-124-09 | OEM Parts Online

POST 2Original post

From the link you provided, I'd say your spot on. Here is the drawing from the Porsche Illustrations and Parts Diagrams. The Part number from the link is for the right side. Is this the side you're working on? If not, the left side part number is on the drawing (987.504.12 3 .08). If you remove the liner currently on the car, the part number is typically molded into the back side. You should be able to validate everything there.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
