Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

I thought mine was stuck too, it turned out it was a user error, the wheel simply doesn't adjust far enough for my liking.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all. Bit of a weird one, or maybe not. I've been looking at getting a 996, my first Porsche. There's one I'm considering, however a really annoying thing is the lever to adjust the steering wheel reach is jammed and the reach can't be adjusted. It was picked up on an inspection; is this a common thing (had a quick search but couldn't find anything)? Is it just a case of squirting a load of WD40 down the shaft to get it to free up? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

I thought mine was stuck too, it turned out it was a user error, the wheel simply doesn't adjust far enough for my liking. Not much help for you if its been picked up as part of an inspection as a genuine issue though.
