Get the "original equipment" 17s then you can get taller sidewalls with the same dia as the 18s so you don't change the speedometer/odometer accuracy. Check the tirerack site Sizes To Fit Your Vehicle

Most folks give up the extra comfort and rim protection of the taller sidewall of the 17" for sharper turn in, harsher ride and greater possibility of pinched sidewalls/bent rims of the 18". (actually sharper handling, the rest is just a bonus)
