Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'd say that if you don't see any option codes on your trunk tag for leather, you have the standard leatherette interior....unless someone changed your interior along the line.

btw, I find using the renntech search engine a tad cumbersome.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I recently purchased a 1999 C4 black over grey . I have looked up all the codes that are on the sticker under the front trunk lid . The only codes related to the interior are for the 3 spoke steering wheel and the 8 way electric seats L+R .
Nothing about the color or if it's full leather or partial . Am I missing something on how to identify the color of the interior ? And how do I know if it's full or partial leather ? I " think " the headliner is alcantara but not sure of that either .
Any help is appreciated to help identify what I have .
There is lots of info on how to read the option sticker online, but here is a picture of my option sticker as an example. The L84S is the exterior color and the BC is the interior color. I also have the codes for full leather seats 936 & 983. If you don't have those codes than I believe you just have the base material. Whether that was partially leather or vinyl I don't know.
This string might help you with your interior color question:

I'd say that if you don't see any option codes on your trunk tag for leather, you have the standard leatherette interior....unless someone changed your interior along the line. Some pieces with the leatherette interior are covered leather cover as standard with the leatherette interior (door handles, steering wheel and such) but not many.
Alcantara is/was also the standard headliner. You could upgrade to leather.
btw, I find using the renntech search engine a tad cumbersome. I found the link above with a google search. It popped up first.
I went and looked at the trunk sticker again . Exterior paint code is L741 black with interior code CC which I believe means all of the interior is graphite grey . No other codes point to a leather interior so I have to assume it's vinyl or faux leatherette . Seems odd to me to order 8 way power front seats in vinyl but it appears that was how it was ordered .
If that is correct then the dash and door cards are also vinyl . Any ideas on the headliner ? I just want to make sure I am using the proper cleaning products and whatever conditioners are needed .
