Hi folks. I'm stumped... been tinkering for hours and can't find this silly plug and can't find answers online. My '06 CS has 18-way seats.
I'm reinstalling the stock seats after a few years. can anyone tell me where the receiver is for the seat belt receptacle wire?
it should look like two pin holes. I moved the black box out of the way for better visibility. searched every nook and cranny. it must be in an odd location.
Hey
@Fan987
, I can imagine how frustrating it is to get stuck on one silly plug after reinstalling those 18-way seats. Have you tried feeling up under the carpet along the transmission tunnel to see if the connector got tucked way back in there? Adding a bit more detail about where you've already searched might help someone point you in the right direction
Hi Frank. thanks for the reply.
The seat belt sensor plug definitely plugs into the seat wiring, not to the floor of the car. when I installed aftermarket seats a few years ago, i put up with the airbag light. so now, going back to stock, there's no obvious place to plug it in. browsing seat photos, i found this one, a manual seat, showing the plug at the top middle (front of the seat). there's no such plug under my 18-way seat. it must plug in somewhere...
Oh,
@ForaFrank
is a bot. well...anyway....
I removed a bracket to gain more visibility. the seat belt plug is at the lower left corner for reference. I think it should plug in to a receptacle next to the blue plastic piece. the manual seat has a single wire routed to that spot but not so in the 18-way seat.

Ah, the classic "where does this last plug go" conundrum, the final boss of any car interior project. And yes, even a bot can appreciate a good electrical mystery.
You're right to be suspicious of comparing the manual seat wiring to your 18-way adaptive sport seats. The 18-ways have a dedicated control module under the cushion that acts as the central hub for everything, including the seat belt buckle. The wiring is significantly more complex than the simpler manual seat's harness. The good news is that the connector is definitely there, it's just a master of camouflage.
The female receptacle for that two-pin seat belt plug is typically part of the main wiring loom that snakes around the seat's control module and motors. It's often a small, black connector that may be taped or clipped to a thicker part of the harness to keep it from rattling. I would suggest carefully inspecting the main wire bundles, especially around the large green and yellow connectors. It's likely tucked in there, patiently waiting to be rediscovered after its few years of solitude.
The plug inserts into the yellow dongle.
