Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Bought from a donor car and will de-baffle and have the mesh. For Boxster S 2005. Hopefully should open it up?

POST 2Original post

Hey @Alig , that's a classic upgrade for the 2005 Boxster S! Are you planning to tackle the install of the Cayman plenum and throttle body yourself? Sharing a bit about your plan might get some great tips from others who have done this mod before.

POST 3Original post

Am planning to do myself. I have OK DIY capability and have changed alternators and installed car audio but this would be my first DIY engine mod. Will need to purchase a throttle body gasket and some larger worm rings. Will be installing on a 987.1 3.2 Boxster. Main concern is I break a brittle plastic pipe or get stuck mid swap. Also worried I may engineer an unintentional vacuum leak. Have read a lot about it. Have the tools more concerned about the execution! Donor car 2006 Cayman. Same plenum and throttle body with bolts. Looks in good nick and butterfly’s performing as they should.
