Much more than just oil pressure. What year Cayman are we talking about? The 9871. ('06-'08) have a limitation in not having an oil pressure sensor - but one could be installed in parallel with the existing idiot light switch to get this data onto the CanBus.

That looks amazing. Am I by chance able to purchase it from somewhere? Couldn’t find that in the thread.

- it's a bit hidden but you'll find it. If you have a 987.2 with the useless dash wart, he makes one to replace the useless stopwatch in the wart, or if you don't have the wart - the one I have - which is on the far left side of the dash works just dandy. The driver has choices between: oil and water temps, with bar-graphs for them that change color with the temperatures being displayed; Oil temperature and oil pressure - both of interest if you track your car; and a simple digital display of water/oil temps and system voltage.
All the information is available on the CanBus it just needed a bit of genius to make use of it. And you'll be amazed at how much the water temperature dash gauge simply lies to the driver. About 130F-210F = displayed 175F. Just so you're happy and don't bug the dealers.
For a
987.1
that is not planned to be tracked, is the oil pressure additional "hack" really required? I won't be experieicing sustained high lateral g turning so shouldn't suffer from oil starvation.
