I bought the mounting spacers from Pelican but I haven’t figured out what screws to use so they mount tightly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 986 didn’t have a front plate when I bought it. I bought the mounting spacers from Pelican but I haven’t figured out what screws to use so they mount tightly. Any help? Edit: With the help of AI I was able to determine the right screws. No thanks to PP’s search function or product description.

POST 2Original post

You will need a link to the PET, they list everything you need + spare part number 24: B 4,2 X 9,5 sheet metal screw 30: B 4,2 X 32 Countersunk sheet metal screw

POST 3Original post

Another option for installing a front plate is to use a tow hook mount. Personally, I like the look of the off-center plate and I really like the fact that no holes need to be drilled in the bumper cover. Inexpensive tow hook mount license plate brackets can be found on e-Bay.

^^^^ Looks great! Btw, the thread for the hook is a Rd 20x1/8
