Figure out what your problem is first and go from there.
Leading evidence: 'first and go' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'first and go' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check oil' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Really upset as I just replaced the clutch last month, which costed me $2800.

Head gasket ,poss cracked head. You can do a cylinder leak down test but I think you may have to do invasive tests.R & R heads and inspect head gasket ,cylinders, pistons for any damage.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 4s with TPC Racing Turbo Kit.. So this morning, I'm driving on the turnpike, and I'm in 5th gear going about 75mph, and start to rev the car up to about 6000rpm, and then all of the sudden start to bog out, and all white smoke came out from the exhaust, at first I thought the car was on fire. Had to get the car towed, The car won't turn over at all. The only light on the dash is (Coolant Level). Really upset as I just replaced the clutch last month, which costed me $2800. Is the engine blown??? Any help, please. Car was leaking coolant, on the flatbed.
With the smoke and the coolant code HG or other coolant vs oil related issue would be my thought, but the car should still try to start and run shouldn't it? Not that it's advisable.
I would assume the "on fire" bit was his thought seeing the smoke behind him. Once you're on the side of the road with the motor off it's pretty easy to tell if it was really on fire or not.
6,000 RPM in 5th gear is not 75mph, it is north of 120mph.
Many possibilities for this, some could be very simple. Coolant hose broke, AOS went, coolant tank split etc.
Alright so i was incorrect of the RPM, I was not going anywhere near 120mph. I still can't figure out why the engine won't turn. I don't even know where to start. IF I decide to sell it as is, what is the price I would be looking at, 2002 Carrera 4s with TPC Racing Turbo Kit, which retails for over $10k.
If the gasket is blown (or something else), there may not be enough compression for combustion.
That seems reasonable. I was just trying to point out trying to start the engine after something major goes wrong isn't a good idea...(when you don't have a clue what went wrong at least)
Well as is it's a roller so $5k or so. The turbo is going to net you nothing in this case and may even hamper you. Even if you get the motor running again, I think you'll find that most people are a bit leery of turbos on a NA motor.
Figure out what your problem is first and go from there.
Ahh yeah, didn't think of those issues. Thanks guys.
Word is head gasket failure is rare. With a TPC Turbo racing kit fitted though? Maybe less rare.
I'd not do anything drastic just yet. Could be a failed AOS. With a turbo or turbos fitted the intake runs at a positive pressure and this adds wear and tear to the AOS.
If the AOS likely just one possibly two cylinders hydrolocked.
Is the coolant level ok? Probably not. You can remove the plugs and crank the engine to remove the coolant from the cylinders. This is not the best way as the pistons run with coolant and oil.
Hopefully you will dodge the bigger bullet.
Then inspect the AOS, maybe even remove it. If it is bad there you are. Replace it. Drain the engine oil and refill with fresh. Replace the filter too. Run the engine at idle until warm then drain the oil and replace with fresh and fit another filter.
You can do this oil drain and refill again after some miles on the engine, but not many. When it comes to resurrecting an engine that has suffered coolant in the cylinders I believe in not sparring the oil and filters to get the coolant out of the oil areas.
Price 30 quarts of oil and 3 filters and then a replacement engine and tell me which you would rather spend the money on?
If the engine can't be resurrected -- if the hydrolock cracked one or more cylinder liners for instance -- and you do not want to search out and fit a used engine, then you can sell the car as a roller. Not sure what its worth. Give Oklahoma Foreign a call and see what it will offer you for the car.
Depending on how much extra boost you were cramming into the cylinders, it wouldn't take that much water to hydrolock. And once the rods start looking all wavy...well...
I'm sure the flood of "boost is evil" will start soon. Boost isn't evil, but a boosted car can go wrong in a hurry. Sounds like you're in for a large repair bill - sorry to hear it.
If you have to sell the roller, uninstall the turbo and sell it separately. I'd guess between the turbo kit and the roller, you've got about $10K in assets (depending on the mileage on the turbo and the completeness of the kit) - so at least taking a look to see if the engine is truly toast is worth it. If the block is actually salvageable, that's another $1-$2K asset.
If you do yank the kit, be sure to get all of the upgraded parts (injectors, the third radiator if it was installed, all of the intercooler hardware, etc.). Whoever buys it will also wind up needing a tune that "new" buyers get as part of the deal.
Probably cracked a cylinder, or lost a valve seat. Boost will catalyze both these.
Valve seats tend to fall out more this time of year, as the thermal changes the engine goes through start to change.
Since the engine won't turn, I'd lean toward a cracked cylinder leading to a D chunk of the cylinder that has locked the piston.
When an engine fails so abruptly you will not get intermix in the coolant! Why? The engine shuts down so abruptly that there's nothing to mix things up. Drain the engine oil, if 2 gallons of water comes out first, before the oil, then the cylinder has failed. This water will not be all mixed up, it will have dumped into the engine after things stopped moving.
OK, I'm an amateur mechanic compared to many others here, and mine is just a stock Carrera, but I had similar symptoms a couple years ago, and turned out to just be a failed AOS and the engine was hydrolocked. Don't give up too soon!
Anything's possible, but if this was my car, I would not be anticipating zero issues after hydrolocking the car under boost. If all the car needs is new plugs, cleanup, and a new AOS, OP needs to head over to his nearest lottery ticket merchant and stock up.
Watch some of the YouTube videos of people intentionally running engines with no oil or coolant (there was a lot of this during the Cash for Clunkers campaign). Engines dying of heat don't go from running perfectly to instantly seized - they're loud, stinky, and (can be) terrifying to be around. Like a Texan.
Update:
So I pulled the plugs, and three cylinders were full of water. I drained the cylinders, and the car turns over, and makes great compression, in each cylinder. I decided to take out the AOS, and replace it. I'm putting a new AOS in today, and bought new spark plugs. I drained the oil from the engine also. I'm praying that once I replace the AOS, and plugs, and put new oil, that were good to go again. I will keep you all updated. thank you for the responses.
Update: Installed the AOS, put new oil in. Started the car and its smoking, the car is leaking coolant coming out of the exhaust. Am i doomed? what does this mean?

Why not do a bore scope inspection, you only need to remove the plug and go in with it to see inside cylinder, I think you have a cracked liner and the cylinder is sucking in water then blowing it out of exhaust , it cracks at the top where the cylinder joins the head in a D shape hence the term D chunk, you will have to strip it down and get it sleeved!
Failed cylinder. I'll say it again.
I have never, not once ever, seen an M96 with a failed head gasket. The MLS head gasket is stronger than the cylinder, and the cylinder head.
