Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have an 01 996 cab. The rear trim that covers the pop-up roll bars that runs the full width of the car, directly above and behind the rear seat backs, is loose on the drivers side. I need to remove it to inspect/repair/replace.
I have attempted to remove the rear panel behind the rear seat backs - easier said than done. This panel is held in place with 2 screws (easy) AND the front edge of the pop up cover (bummer). It seems that I may need to remove the rear seat backs in order to remove the panel. I don't really want to go removing too much interior if it is not required.
Any one had experience in removing the pop-up cover or rear panel?
Thx
3. Pry off the top oblong covers directly over the roll bars. Work from the rearward side of the covers not the front side. There are three spring clips, left , center and right so if you work with a wide bladed screw driver start at one side, then the middle, then the other side and the covers will pop off.

I am looking to remove the whole cover that runs the whole width of the car. It looks like I need to remove the rear seat backs, then the seat back mount in the center, then the rear vertical panel - and that should give me access to two screws that hold the long cover in place. Does that sound like the right procedure?

If you go to this thread and look at the pics and read the text you might see a way to get the cover off... "The
entire cover will lift off
now and exposing the roll bars and the carrier frame rails where the mounts bolt in."
Maybe yours is different?
