This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After 10 years of classic 911 motoring and modifying, I switched to a 996 to do double duty as daily driver and track/AX tool. From day one I knew I liked the 996 better than my 911, but I kept pining for an old 0911 to tinker with. Perhaps it's nostalgia, perhaps it's because the 996 is not classic enough (yet)..I don't know but I like air cooled 911s. Stay with me..I'm going somewhere with this. After a year of ownership, I moved out of the country and had to sell. Then I moved back a year later and promptly bought another 2002 model, almost identical to the previous one. This car is 3000 pounds, silver on black, new motor in 2005. I stole it for $26.5K, from a Porsche dealership no less. Well, after a few months of driving the stock suspension I bought a used set of PSS9 coilovers and a used set of H&R sway bars. I put the sway bars in months ago, but it wasn't until this weekend that I finally got around to installing the struts. HOLY CRAP - What a difference. I'm not even interested in looking at used 911 anymore, and this was a favourite hobby of mine for years. Check out the before and after pics. I found a shop that races 996s to do the alignment and it's magic. Happy camper

POST 3Original post

Yup, I've got a very similar PSS9 setup on my car (the Boxster Carrera), and it's a blast. Very quick and very stable. -Wayne

POST 4Original post

I would love to locate a used PSS9 setup. How are you finding these? Your car looks great!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey SCott I found them on Rennlist..but then I waffled and the seller then listed them on ebay which is where I ended up buying them. I paid $1100 delv'd. New ones were just north of $2K. It's a bit complicated because I am in Canada so exposed to importation costs.

POST 6Original post

Great price! I need to start looking on Ebay and Craigslist.
