Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think if you check the Raid web site you'll see that the RUF and TechArt wheels are very similar if not the same.

I did a 'dry run' at home just to make sure before doing it over in Germany - but all okay, no fault lights, no drama.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Porsceh don't do smaller steering wheels. I even asked at the Exclusive department at Werk 1.
I recommend you try Ruf, they do a smaller airbag wheel. I've tried it - I liked it.
Must get one for the next car...
I looked at the Techart s/wheel which is v nice[
], but then discovered that the Aitwe wheel is same as - they are sold through Raid Motorsport in Germany. This is a slight detour on the way to Nurburgring[8|].
I bought one and fitted it in the car park at the ring!!![

It is brill[8D]
Have a look at this link http://www.raid-rdi.com and piccy attached!
Yep, it was/is an air-bag steering wheel.
1. Turn-off the alarm with the key (avoid the volt drop sensor)
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Go for a stroll and watch the cars for an hour or so.[8D]
4. Remove the 2 torx screws from the back of the steering wheel that hold airbag.
5. Lift out airbag - BIG deep breath - pull off the yellow plug off the back - exhale![
]
6.Centre steering wheel & remove 24mm nut and rock wheel to remove from splines.
7. Reassemble with new wheel reconnecting hole push button and airbag.
8. Grip new wheel with a big smile on your face - justifying the expenditure![
]
9. Re-connect battery and reset radio, clock and alarm.
10. Go for a quick spin around the track! Fully justified.[

Task took about 20 mins plus 60 mins wait - easy.
Cost - €500 in notes direct from the factory - Bargain
Is that enough info?

Great!
I'll order a Ruf one next time I'm going over - if it is that easy to fit, fantastic!
(I was a little worried about having an ounce of high explosive going off in my face...[X(] )
Got to admit Mark - so was i[&:]

Hi folks, not sure if you can get it here from the OPC, but I've seen the thicker wheel option 'CPZ' available from a web site in Belgium. Its 2.4 mm thicker and is the standard 3 spoke size at 38 cm. Airbag modules fit too.
Aint cheap tho, weighing in at 795 euros [8|], mind you the TechArt is expensive too, albeit a little smaller in diameter.
Cheers,
You should be able to order a thicker rim steering wheel from OPCs. It doesn't show on the UK options list, but has been available in the US. I can't remember how much, but it'll make your eyes water, I'm sure[:-]. I've got one on my new GT3 because I've got big mitts (and I like the feel of it - oo,er[

HTH,
Bruce
