Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I never thought that I would buy a 996. I have always been an air cooled car man. Well I sold my 930 and then met a nice fellow pelican that wanted my 91 964 C4. So I was porscheless for about 3 hours. I ended up finding a 2002 996 C-4 Cab with a new convertible top and hard top. The best part is that it has a rebuilt engine and not only is it rebuilt, but the case was sent to LNE and new 3.8 pistons and cylinders were used to rebuild the engine. It has less than 9,000 miles and under a year since rebuilt. The car is great. Drove it to Mtech my porsche shop and then home. A PPI minus a leak down was done. It passed with flying colors. Clean. One thing that I can see will drive me nuts is the fact that a light weight alum flywheel. It rattles when the clutch is out. I'm being told that I have to deal with it unless I want to put back a duel mass back in. Also I have ton's of receipts totaling over 27,000. Very nice car. Here are some pics. Robert
