Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Can anyone recommend a supplier of the double din fascia surround that is a good colour match to the silver/graphite standard trim?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have decided that I really do need iPod connectivity in my ’06 Cayman S, and have been offered a Pioneer AppRadio from a mate at work, which seems to do everything I need (iPod connection inc. charging and control + Bluetooth connectivity for my iPhone).
My relatively simple questions are:
1. Do I need an ISO connector to link the new headunit to the car, or do the existing plugs in the car fit to aftermarket headunits?
2. Do I need any sort of fitting kit to mount it in the car?
3. Can anyone recommend a supplier of the double din fascia surround that is a good colour match to the silver/graphite standard trim?
Many thanks,
Mike
For the double din cage and fascia, try looking at

For the cabling, it seems that this can be a nightmare in this country, but you could look at

Please let me know how you get on, as I am thinking the same for my 2011 Cayman.
Hi mike
I have had a parrot asteroid smart fitted to my cayman, this has nav,and the usual great parrot bluetooth built in,this was done by Car Electronics in Derby and cost me £500 fitted ,you cannot tell that it is not standard as the fit is superb and the guy who fitted it Roy was very professional , there is indeed a loom/facia kit which as to be used ,if you pay a visit to the above mentioned web site you are able to see pictures of the finished fit of my car, hope this helps
My understanding is that the CDR-30 does not use a correct ISO connector and hence the adapter loom needs to be built up from scratch.
If there is an off the peg loom then I have not found it for my Cayman - maybe Gen 1 and earlier were better served.
