Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm going to prep and spray my exaust tips matte black this weekend on my '05 997S. Any suggestions on what type of paint to get at AutoZone o PepBoys ?? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Why? Fashion, Problems with Law enforcement ???

POST 4Original post

Different Strokes for Different Folks. If you plan on painting them make sure you get "high temp" paint. Webber (as in BBQ) has a flat black in the spray can that works really well on exhaust systems.

POST 5Original post

Any pictures? I would like to see the look when you're done.

POST 6Original post

I prepped and painted a muffler on my old bug with that hi temp paint and it looked pretty good 20 years later. Always remember, paint job is only as good as the prep.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Painted the tips today. I used VHT flat black spray paint. Light coats every 10 minutes and the 3rd coat went a little heavier. Will post pix tomorrow. I'm letting it dry real good tonight and will let cure with car in idle tomorrow once installed. It has a ceramic coating as well.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 10Original post

I think they look nice, I did the same to mine long ago...

POST 11Original post

I am probably going to buy some quad gloss black tips in a few weeks. nice job there! I also painted the undercarriage in dark flat black with high temp paint looks really good, makes the 911 look newer I receive compliments on it all the time. This helps hide the ugly corrosive metal spots.
